First thing I did before reading the essay was research my author and really dug deep into his life.  Malcolm x  was born on may 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska, and died February 21, 1965. Malcolm was assassinated   on February 21 at the Audubon Ballroom in Manhattan, before giving a speech.

Vocabulary:

articulate:having or showing the ability to speak fluently and coherently

emulate: match or surpass

inevitable: certain to happen

Figures of speech:

” I would guess I wrote a million words” this is an hyperbole he expresses Exaggeration.

There was a lot of bias in writings at the time Malcolm x was alive he said that the work was to Whitened because only white men were allowed to express their opinion without seeing any consequences. Black people or any race of color were  not allowed to express their opinions right or wrong without  some consequences. Therefore we were only getting half the story of most stories in the earlier days.
