Abortion- I agree it is pro choice for women and i was very convinced by her point. I found the statistics very helpful and very informing. The presentation was given by kayla and it was a very good presentation.

Recycling- Andre gave a great presentation about recycling and the benefits and also the restrictions and laws put into  place from china. I think the video was also a great help and was very informal.

Recreational weed- At first I believed that weed should not be legalized recreationally and i still stand by this. Dominic gave a great presentation  and was very informal  but i believe it is not right and I was not convinced and still  think i will not be convinced.

Juul- Makayla gave a great presentation on  juuling and the illegal use of underage users. She made claims that we should not let underage user use the product and i agree completely. The presentation was  really good and i agree totally.

euthanasia-  My opinion on the subject is that you should be able to do whatever you want to do to your own body. Kate gave a really informational slide show and i was surprised in how in depth she went into the subject.

weed legalization- Alexis is for legalization of weed because she does not see it as a drug rather a medical treatment and said that nobody has ever overdosed on weed. I think weed should be legalized only medically.

natalia-  Before the presentation i wasn’t really aware that this was a real subject and problem.   I feel as though I have learned about a subject I had never heard of. I believe now that it is totally wrong to do this surgery when you are young.

For my presentation im going to be using the rubric and outline considered and presented by the lady in the ted talk. I believe if great speakers and activist can use the outline and be successful so can i. The impact my presentation will have will be a positive one and hopefully by the end I can convince the opposing side to believe my ways and thoughts of thinking.  Overall i think my presentation will be very informational and very persuasive. By the use of humor, figurative language, and many other literal devices my presentation will be very satisfying.

I used more time and detail transitions. I also added more emphasis transitions and added them to my essay. My longest sentence is 25 words and is grammatically correct, my shortest sentence is 12 words and is very bold as it highlights some of my main points.

Imagine your mark who made the same choice as many college students choose to do. Mark took out student loans and is haunted by his choice everyday, the fear is instilled in marks when he hears student loans. His ears screech and his eyes widened as if he just saw an ex girlfriend. The taste of beef ramen noodles every night because that’s all he can afford, don’t make the same mistakes that mark made that still currently imprison him and millions of other students and scholars around the world.

I spoke to Avery who was very neutral and helped shed light on some ways that i could help persuade opposing sides. Information he said was that free education would be beneficial but also hurt america in some ways. He was very open to the subject and after reading i feel as though i did my job in convincing him for free education.

I spoke to Asia who was very sympathetic and was very much for the thought of free education. Saying that it would help a great deal and really help stop the epidemic of student debt.

I spoke to Andre who was very hostile at the thought of free education. He raised concerns about where money would come from and how we would continue to fund colleges. He expressed that if college was offered free would the education be quality and even beneficial.

in class 11-26

The cost for free education would come at the hands of taxpayers, and the cost of living would rise drastically. These claims are very logical claims but are very one sided arguments. Free education would spark a millennial movement greater than any movement thus far in US history. “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’- Nelson Mandela. The value of education has changed immensely since the dawn of time, through education we have learned to change and adapt to times, climates and techniques.Free education would help communities deprived by poverty and violence and help shed light on a new way of living. The surplus of families that can’t afford education for their kids or even themselves is very troubling, as college tuition rises the thoughts of education becomes very much a dream. The fear engraved in peoples heads are that if we make college free where would the money come from and of course this is a huge concern  but through increasing tax and tax very huge companies we could make this change in our nation. The benefits outweigh the problems with free college. If everyone was to have a degree we would see and increase in jobs and see a decrease in student loan debt.

1.My community is very shattered with violence and despair, growing up there for 18 years of my life has made me connected and very deep in the roots of my community. Being the only one who went to college or even graduated high school pretty much meant I had to succeed and there is no option to fail .

2. The debate in my community is solley based on poverty and the cost of living and education, college tuition should be free and students should not be charged any money. People who don’t come from any money and cant afford college cant have the dream of going to college without going into debt.

3. The controversy surrounded around my subject is that is the education if it were free would it be the same and just as beneficial if you were paying for your education.

4. The controversy is would the education be quality if offered. Another thing would be is that colleges would have no money and eventually fall apart and go into debt.

5. The argument for education to be free is to see more people graduate and get the education without having to go into debt. The student debt crushes the younger generation and students are constantly dropping out because they cant afford their education. The other side argues that free education would cause taxes to increase and would really effect the communities.

6. a. yes I did and I really observe both sides and take all into account.

b. yes I went into depth about both arguments and all their claims.

c. yes I tried to not make any statements that would clearly be biased.

d. some views they might they have is that if we give free education to everyone colleges wouldn’t make as much and taxes would be raised to high and really effect the communities.

7. My thesis is that free education would benefit everyone and would promote better jobs and better education. Thus it would be effecting the united states a positive way.

8. my claims would be  free education would benefit communities, free education would stop student debt, free education would help poverty and at risk teens succeed and really not take a wrong path in life.

9. I will quote each source and sight  my sources.

10. I would insert the claim and support it with  claims from the article and sight my sources with a bibliography.

11. my evidence really appeals to logos and is very logical and some what biased leaning more towards free education.

12. I will explain each piece of evidence with a quote from a text that supports the claim and then go really into depth on the topic.

13. The most common view is that if we have free education the taxes and whole economy would be effected negatively. I would go into depth on the claim and really insist that this would not be the case.

14. I would conclude my essay by restating my claim and reassure the reader if they have an opposing view that they should get rid of it and really think about my claim.

Medical marijuana should be legalized only for medical purposes only and should remain that way. According to “marijuana is medicine” the term medical marijuana refers to using the basic extracts from the plant to treat illnesses and other conditions.  Medical marijuana is not fully legalized due to the fact that the FDA hasn’t approved of it. The reasoning for the FDA not approving medical marijuana is because the lack of evidence and trials on humans, the experiments scientist have done are not on a wide enough scale. In which the FDA needs in order to say without a doubt  the marijuana can be used medically without any problems.

Thc is one of the two key components inside a marijuana plant and they can be used medically to help certain symptom’s such as nausea and pain.  Another particle in marijuana is CBD which is a cannabinoid which does not have the high factor like other cannabinoids , CBD has been approved by the FDA and has approved of a CBD liquid based medication called Epidiolex. CBD is used to treat numerous diseases and control conditions like severe childhood epilepsy,Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome

11/7

Gun control-  the main argument is about less gun control and the reasoning behind it is because it is a given right. The argument for more stricter gun laws stems from the fear of more tragedy and death within the community. They also fear that were there are more guns more problems arise.

Abortion- the argument for abortion to be legal is that it is the women’s right whether  she wants to keep the baby or not. This empowers the women to have the ultimate say so and have total control over themselves.

The argument for abortion to be illegal is because it is murder and that you are killing a human being  whether it be a fetus or a developed baby.

Climate change- The two arguments really go towards where the responsibility lands on humans or the earth itself. Whether humans using cars and certain things make harmful gases is the problem behind it. Or whether it be natural gases that are being released from earth that are causing climate change.

Kaepernick Knelling Controversy-  The main argument was that the  kneeling was a bad thing. Kaepernick knelled during the national anthem on national television and stood up for what he believed in sparking a controversial riot. The judgement concluded that Collin disrespected all of america and the troops and was on the wrong side. For that one knell he was ridiculed and left in the dirt by the nfl.

Drinking age-  The main argument is that lowering the drinking age would be irresponsible and would be unsafe drinking.  That lowering the age would hurt the not fully developed age of an 18 adult.  The opposing side says that if 18 year old adults should be allowed to drink and do so safely, and more restrictions would be in place to promote and assure safe and legal drinking.

Legalization of marijuana-
