My conclusion is coming together and is really highlighted. The conclusion is no matter how hard the struggle things get better, and as long as you believe you can make it through anything. Kevin stresses that he wouldn’t have had his life any other way, that the struggle made him into the man he is and will continue  to be.

In the speech Kevin Durant expresses lots of emotion and lets out a lot of emotion.  He uses pathos throughout his whole speech,  he tells about how his mom sacrificed everything she ever had for him and his brother. Makes statements like my mother would starve to make sure we ate and would wait until we were done to eat what was left over. He shows the true sacrifice that his mother took to make sure her kids were always in good health. The speech I think is very relatable because my mother was much like this. overall he makes the speech relatable and very appealing to pathos.

Presents logical and proves his point to defend his client. He appeals to ethos and makes sure that the man is in the wrong, but he is arguing that his point is right and wants the man to agree with him. He uses very vivid figurative language to express his thoughts, and is really  demanding of the man to listen and truly understand his point.

For my ad I analyzed a political ad about president Donald trump. The picture uses very eye catching colors and very bold letters which really accent their reason for writing the ad. The ad appeals to peoples emotion expressing that Donald trump had fooled them once in voting and that they shouldn’t let it happen again. The audience it is targeting is the Florida residents and registered voters, this is because the ad was made for them through an opposing political party. I think the bold lettering really highlights the ad and really makes its point , also the use of red really helps pop out the bold writing. The red also is like an alarm like danger if you do this thing. The ad has a very logical appeal and really speaks so they didn’t just bash the president they gave logical reasons and information to support their claim .

For my essay I will be analyzing a quote. And if I can not find a quote that appeals to me I will analyze a piece of art.

The arguments of each photo is that we are to caught up in the social world and are not really interacting as humans should. The audience it  speaks to is the younger generation who is all caught up in their social lives and are not really living right now. The cartoon really shows the disregard for anything not involving  their phones and really shows the total lack of presences in the real world. It really brings out the alarmness  for the audience and the concern with the pictures.  The evidence in the pictures are very figurative comparing the people on their phones to blind people and also comparing the people tweeting about a crime as also the criminals for not helping the lady in any way. The possible counter arguments are that  cellphones are good for our society and that we should get with the times of technology.  I believe the 2 pictures that we reviewed are very unique but also similar in many ways, the both go back to the fact that we are to caught up in our social lives and aren’t really here interacting with each other.

Context: The main idea of this song is that someone who is absent from the writer/singers life is appearing to him through “visions”.

Audience: People who listen to this band or people who also have someone missing from their life that they cannot stop thinking about/ seeing in their imagination.

Message: When someone leaves your life and you miss them, you will see them in situations in your own life but they are not actually there. It makes missing them harder and more dramatic. This comes from the middle of the song where the singer is begging God to forget about whoever it is that he misses (probably a girl). Persuasive strategies that were used were the tone. He is sad. Assumed values of the audience are that everyone has someone that they miss and cannot forget.
