1.My community is very shattered with violence and despair, growing up there for 18 years of my life has made me connected and very deep in the roots of my community. Being the only one who went to college or even graduated high school pretty much meant I had to succeed and there is no option to fail .
2. The debate in my community is solley based on poverty and the cost of living and education, college tuition should be free and students should not be charged any money. People who don’t come from any money and cant afford college cant have the dream of going to college without going into debt.
3. The controversy surrounded around my subject is that is the education if it were free would it be the same and just as beneficial if you were paying for your education.
4. The controversy is would the education be quality if offered. Another thing would be is that colleges would have no money and eventually fall apart and go into debt.
5. The argument for education to be free is to see more people graduate and get the education without having to go into debt. The student debt crushes the younger generation and students are constantly dropping out because they cant afford their education. The other side argues that free education would cause taxes to increase and would really effect the communities.
6. a. yes I did and I really observe both sides and take all into account.
b. yes I went into depth about both arguments and all their claims.
c. yes I tried to not make any statements that would clearly be biased.
d. some views they might they have is that if we give free education to everyone colleges wouldn’t make as much and taxes would be raised to high and really effect the communities.
7. My thesis is that free education would benefit everyone and would promote better jobs and better education. Thus it would be effecting the united states a positive way.
8. my claims would be free education would benefit communities, free education would stop student debt, free education would help poverty and at risk teens succeed and really not take a wrong path in life.
9. I will quote each source and sight my sources.
10. I would insert the claim and support it with claims from the article and sight my sources with a bibliography.
11. my evidence really appeals to logos and is very logical and some what biased leaning more towards free education.
12. I will explain each piece of evidence with a quote from a text that supports the claim and then go really into depth on the topic.
13. The most common view is that if we have free education the taxes and whole economy would be effected negatively. I would go into depth on the claim and really insist that this would not be the case.
14. I would conclude my essay by restating my claim and reassure the reader if they have an opposing view that they should get rid of it and really think about my claim.
